Guardian Word of the Week: Strong

Last week I was reviewing the edited manuscript of my Guardian Gateway book (coming out this summer!) which includes a story about how a giant Sequoia Tree came to my rescue when I was having a hard day.

The night after I reviewed the chapter with the Sequoia story I happened to have a bad dream. I don’t wake up with bad dreams very often, but when I do I always have one of two reactions:

1) Happiness and a feeling of relief that it was only a dream

or

2) A yucky, “threatened” feeling that persists even though I’ve awakened from the dream.

This particular night I experienced the second reaction, and since I’d read about it earlier, the giant redwood Tree it came into my mind. I called out to it, and immediately felt it all around me.

The feeling of love and support was palpable, and my energy shifted to match the energy of the beautiful being that was now enveloping me.

And one word came to me: Strong.

Say it with me now:
Strong
Strong
Strong
Strong
Strong
Strong
Strong
Strong
Strong
Strong

This week, welcome the Sequoia into your heart. Feel its love and support all around you, and its energetic roots alongside yours as you own this week’s word. Strong, strong, strong!
