Guardian Word of the Week: Shed

This week our Guardian Word is Shed: the act of releasing what you’ve outgrown (the way a snake sheds its skin).

A snake skin is shed because it doesn’t fit anymore, but unlike our snake friends, we tend to want to hold on to thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and relationships long after we’ve become (energetically) too big for them.

Did something from your own life pop into your mind when you read the previous paragraph?

Connect to your heart, drop a grounding cord into the loving Earth, and get a sense of your own beautiful energy field. Feel it glowing brighter as you focus on it, and let it become as big as it naturally wants to be.

Allow yourself to release any and all things that are keeping you from growing to your full potential. Imagine you are taking off an outgrown, too-tight coat as you say,

Tune in to the supportive energy field of shedding what you have outgrown, and allow yourself to feel a sense of inner expansion:

This process is powerful, even if we are not aware of what we need to shed. Just keep your focus on your own energetic growth as you continue to engage with the energy of healthy releasing.

Continue engaging with this energy this week, and take note of what insights you receive and how you feel. Empower yourself to mindfully shed everything you’ve outgrown so that you can shine even more brightly in the world!
